Not one ReTHUG has condemned this,
The leadership of the Democratic Party needs to make more about these links and the environment created by the Slobfather and his lies.

Two California men who were angry about former President Donald Trump's 2020 election loss have been indicted on charges they plotted to firebomb the Democratic Party's headquarters in Sacramento.
The defendants, 45-year-old Ian Rogers and 37-year-old Jarrod Copeland, are both facing one count of conspiracy to destroy a building by fire or explosives. Rogers has also been charged with firearms and explosives offenses, while Copeland is facing an additional obstruction of justice charge.
Prosecutors say the two men were upset about the outcome of the 2020 presidential election and wanted to jump-start a "movement" to overthrow the government. They hoped to recruit others to their cause and even reached out to the Proud Boys to try to rally support.

(269,237 posts)Where do ReTHUGs stand if these allegations are correct?
Dems should demand that ReTHUGs warn these terrorists that they are on their own.
I need some ads from Occupy Democrats and other progressive folks

Right Wing Watch and SPLC. Trumpism would be the overarching set of beliefs that unites them as fellow-travellers.
The Magistrate has it correctly: they are useful to each other.

As you may recall, a very large portion of the GOP thought that Trump was complete joke in the lead up to 2016. But once he was engineered into the nomination and then the presidency he is now their emperor.
Plainly said, the GOP will get into bed with anybody to further their agenda.
That's why they are always screaming about morals. They actually have none.

(269,237 posts)aren't the white supremacists now a significant part of their base?
It's time to call them out

(2,221 posts)I think white supremacy is the original base of the modern GOP.
LBJ purged a large portion of the hard-core racist Dems in the 1960's. Where did they go? Where did Reagan start his campaign in 1980? How about Newt Gingrich's strategy?
The list goes on.
What the GOP was once very careful about is now becoming more evident. Their masks are slipping off.

(269,237 posts)They moved over to the ReTHUGs after the Civil Rights Act but at least they used to pretend - now it's open season for the racists.

(4,611 posts)White identity movements and Christian fundamentalist movements are the backbone of the GOP base.
They don't work for the GOP; the GOP work for them, while attempting to maintain the appearance of keeping them at arms length solely for PR reasons.
