(8,387 posts)Months after all of the speculation about the FIU bridge collapse, it was determined that the bridge was flawed as-designed, and all of the stuff about installation irregularities was wrong.
What news is there to report on this?

(8,387 posts)I have to admit that in terms of the rare incorporation of the story into more contemporary tv shows in recent decades, I always found the Walton episode where the disaster was featured to be quite compelling and not at all exploitative. It made me want to read more...

(14,750 posts)People pour a lot of money into real estate trusts, which are typically long-haul contracts. You can try to sell your shares, but it can be difficult to get out before the maturity date. They are intended as tax shelters rather than investments.
So a lot of those would be rental units, and the owners don't have the power to sell units, only the shares in the trust.
Again, don't know if it applies in FL, but if there are taxes to be dodged, someone will buy into it.
