I guess it's not as though we don't know who she is or what she's up to. After all...
-- she supported Jill Fucking Stein when Hillary ran against Trump.
-- she voted for Jill Fucking Stein in the same election.
-- she claims she was asked to be Jill Fucking Stein's running-mate.
-- she refused to support Joe Biden (against Trump).
-- she compared to Joe Biden as a "bowl of shit".
-- she is only grudgingly running "as-a" Democrat because her PREFERRED party couldn't get on the Ohio ballot.
-- she promotes her (so-called) "People's Party" over the Democratic Party
-- she badmouths Joe Biden and Kamala Harris
-- she shows only contempt for the Democratic party
... it's TOTAL BS! All I'm saying is that voters deserve a candidate who will do his/her best to promote and grow the Democratic party and who will be loyal to the party, and who will work FOR (not against) the Biden Administration.
I think we can all agree that NOW is not the time to continue holding grudges about the 2020 primary. It's not time for "revenge" it's not time for "pay-back". We simply don't need this type of division and distrust. It only weakens the party and anything that weakens the party only serves to benefit the GOP (and Trump, and Russia).
I'm glad the Cleveland clergy are calling out the lies for what they are.
Amen!

There's serious legislative work to be done.
Cash in & be on your way back home to Maryland, please.

(1,725 posts)Have had enough of that woman. And I'm glad not to have seen or heard any of her dirty ads.
But I did hear Clyburn's endorsement ad for Shontel Brown on the radio twice today, though!

(7,261 posts)Trying to frame this as Nina being the first to play dirty is incorrect.
Basing this on my observation of the ads from both sides. Someone will probably say it's not Shontel but a pac (uh-huh), but I respect Nina for having the guts stand behind her ads.
Link to Shontel's first dirty ads.

The point is that Nina's attacks are not true. Shontel's are. Quoting someone's own words and what they do is not going dirty. Attacking Democrats' character as corrupt and immoral based on nothing, is.

(7,261 posts)You state matter-of-factly that "Nina's attacks are not true." I'll need a citation for that.
To be clear, Nina's ads state that Shontel has voted on several occasions to award lucrative contracts to her boyfriend's company. She has also voted to award contracts to company(ies) which subsequently held fundraisers on her behalf.
Again, if you have information that contradicts these claims please post it or retract/rephrase your statement.

(24,393 posts)Im not a fan of Turner, but isnt it a bit hypocritical to accuse someone of lying when your own stock-in-trade - peddling religion - is nothing more than spreading make believe as if it were factual?

(54,330 posts)I still recognize that millions are so deeply indoctrinated that by the time they reach adulthood, they really believe what they have been taught all their lives (not unlike Republicans who think what they hear on Fox is true). To those of us who believe otherwise, it is nothing more than wishful thinking, but to those who truly believe, it is reality. I lived in Spain decades ago, and I saw an otherwise totally rational person go down on their knees in front of the TV when the Pope came on. They had nothing at all to gain by the action, but every time they went to Mass on Sunday, they truly believed their invisible friend in the sky paid them a visit.
Since I don't find Turner to be a citadel of sincerity, I share your sentiment there. I suspect Hillary's endorsement of a primary candidate in this particular congressional race might be tinged with a little payback for 2016, but I nevertheless don't think she would have made the endorsement at all if she felt she was backing an unworthy candidate.
