Hurricane-deniers sound like VAX deniers - no link, just comment

So on random Pluto or whatever streaming today, there was something about recent hurricanes and people who refused to evacuate.

There was this one elderly mother and her middle-aged son who refused to leave, even when law enforcement visited to tell them that THEY were evacuating and wouldn't take the refusers out in handcuffs. So the refusers refused.

Then, the hurricane thingy happened and the happy mother-son felt it getting real, and they ended up in a closet, with the ROOF ripping off. And then they ended up surfing on a door until they were finally fished out.

******** Uh, this sounds familiar. Like, every time there's a hurricane there are weather people and surfers out there in the blowing. Sounds Delta, or before that, the COVID itself.

Once again, stupidity and selfishness seems to be the most prominent traits of all these MAGAts.

No rescue attempts are made until the storm is over.

When you choose to ride out a hurricane, you're on your own and you will not be rescued until conditions change. Sadly the virus deniers and anti-vaxxers expose medical personnel and everyone else around them.

There would be no gas, lights, water, sewage, cable or phones. He asked that anyone planning on staying take an indelible marker and place their name and ssn on their arms, legs and chest. There would be no police, fire or emergency services available. Some people still stayed. If people want to sit in the dark in their bath tub and listen to the howl of the wind for 12 hours, let them. Of those who stayed, we lost 2 to heart attacks.
