Nina better hope Shontel Brown doesn't bring up Turner's disastrous tenure as president of Our Revolution, where the money came up funny and the board had to stop her from hiring her anti-immigrant friend while fearing she intended to use OR to further her own political ambitions
POLITICO:
In a statement out Tuesday, Turner, the groups president, noted that the comments by Tezlyn Figaro are not held by Turner, or by Our Revolution. On Fox News last year, Figaro cited President Donald Trumps leadership on the travel ban and said, We are sick and tired of immigrants coming into the country and getting benefits that Americans do not get what Im seeing is not paying taxes, what Im seeing is getting a lot of freebies that Americans do not get.
Those comments and others a month after Trumps election in 2016 she tweeted Please! #buildthewall have upset many in the organization. The Our Revolution board stopped Turner from installing Figora as the groups chief of staff.
https://www.politico.com/story/2018/05/22/our-revolution-sanders-turner-figaro-603410
Anti-immigrant, supporter of Trump policies, & Fox News regular, Tezlyn Figaro was personally hired by Turner as OR's COS.
THIS IS WHO TURNER pals around with.
There is a reason why Turner never speaks ill of Republicans. Yet damns every Democrat trying to hold the line against the annhiliation of American Democracy.
There's a reason Turner's AMARE PR GROUP is supported by RU compromised MERCURY Global Lobbyists, whose CEO Kirill GORNCHENKO was a RU Putin associate of Paul Manafort.
There is a reason Turner hired Manafort's Ukraine electoral companion, Tad DeVine, to aid her future campaigns.

Hey, HELLO SOMEBODY 🤪? Can you tell us what Nina Turner's real game is here?
That's some shady bowl of shit we're being fed.
What's up with this Ms Turner?
Could SOMEBODY Also ask if Nina plans to maje her home in OH to address the need of those constituents, OR will she abandon them to go back home to Maryland?
Would be kinda good for OH-11 to know if they'll be represented locally, or not.

Seriously. No one except an internet few. Notice progressives stopped bothering in these threads weeks ago. They're just the same things spammed over and over and over.
Did she say something about a bowl of something? Can't recall. I'm sure someone will remind me.

(25,750 posts)"Progressive" = someone who thinks Teddy Roosevelt/FDR/LBJ were anti-capitalist democratic socialists and that Bernie Sanders was the only one continuing that legacy, that the Democratic establishment are hopelessly corrupt elites with the same economic policies as Republicans and despise working and middle classes. Anti-establishment with the establishment being the Democratic Party as the true roadblock to progress. Us (pure, righteous) vs Them (corrupt, evil, immoral).
They really should've called themselves neoprogressives, less confusing. If was fashionable for a while, but as you say, why Nina sticks out like a bitter sore thumb.

(17,004 posts)the brand is based on proven losing lies and strategies. The Republicans love the brand builders, though. They love how they attack Democrats.
I like your nickname...neoprogressives. It fits exactly, and I might use it if that's okay!

(67,782 posts)Tune in for the press conference tomorrow at 11:00 AM at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Cleveland. This is more than a small internet bubble. They, and probably those in that "small internet bubble" don't hate Nina Turner, but all want the truth to come out.

(7,454 posts)I anxiously await your reply. I am curious if "progressives" are okay with this kind of dirty mudslinging within the party.

(25,750 posts)legislators to do the actual job, which is building coalitions and passing legislation to help them. They're not dreaming of a revolution, or transforming the party because they think Democrats are corrupt neoliberal corporate elites, or interested in their representatives pledging no-compromise allegiance to slogans as purity tests.
The ones who want all that nonsense are only a small internet bubble.

(58,785 posts)Isn't ignoring the need to choose for good character and judgement where the trumpists and those who were tricked by liars into voting against Hillary went terribly wrong?
* Identify honest, trustworthy people first.
* Then identify people of good judgement. (Isn't refusing to vote Democrat a complete weed-out?)
* THEN choose among the winners someone worthy of support.
Just think! It'd be raining falling bad actors if more people did.
But only briefly.

She also worked for another lobbying group, "Action for a Progressive Future" and another "Business Consulting" company, "Turner's World Enterprises LLC".

Okay, Nina Turner, I guess that's as good a reason as any other for your obvious Dem hatred over the years.
What a spiteful wreck she is. In that video she never mentions the republicans, the real enemies of the people. All her hate is directed straight at Democrats.
She's going to lose and she'll just get worse.
