Explain why? 9th paragraph?."Much of our country remains unvaccinated, 49.1% fully vaccinated"

Below is the entire 9th paragraph of this article...

"And much of the country remains unvaccinated, despite incentive programs and urging from health experts. Only 49.1% of the US population is fully vaccinated, according to the CDC. Daily vaccination rates are slowing, with only about two thirds of the eligible population having received at least one dose, the CDC said."

2.3rds includes only population above the age of 12

I just read 30 seconds ago that it's 57.6% fully vaxxed and 66% at least one shot, ages 12 & up.
Stuart seemed to be asking a non-math question, though. I'm also thinking Stuart's question is unanswerable, other than that there's a lot of stupid people.
But, I agree with your rationalization of the numbers.
