No Rodney, I dont think we can, sadly...

&ab_channel=thedarkroome

I was visiting my son last couple of days for the first time in almost 2 years because of Covid, I was dying inside not having seen him. I had a heart scare and wasnt sure if I would see him again before I died, as I feared another heart attack (doing better now, got a stent, my 3rd, I should be good now as long as I do my exercise and watch my diet, yes I can still eat pizza, just not all the time .)

We both love Quentin Tarantino movies, especially "Once Upon A Time In Hollywood" and "Django Unchained", among others.

We watched them together last night and during Django we repeatedly looked at each other and said we were back to those days, with trumpers Maga, GOP, etc.

They want slavery again, sure as I am sitting here typing on an LG laptop.

They want "Mandingo" fighting again. In fact that disgusting practice helps explain why so many ignorant white folks are overly afraid of Black men, these days. Why cops shoot first, if it is a Black man, all too often.

Yes, I know Tarantino is controversial. Using the "N" word the way he does in his scripts and his obvious misogyny. But I admit I like the movies.

Not cause of that but cause of the over-the-top ridiculousness of everything going on. It somehow seems right to ME when he's saying it in that context, but ... ya know ... I could likewise see not thinking it's okay

Normally it's only black people saying it in his movies at least. 1994 was a little bit different of a time. I doubt he'd say it himself like that in 2021. Not unless he was supposed to be someone from way in the past, I mean.

I thought it was borderline boring.

I didnt realize what I was seeing.

Now I watch it over and over, in AWE of DiCaprio especially.
