So 52 years with the same members.
Hard to fathom any band beating that.
Whether through argument, death, or ego many long term bands lost a member, or two. But, on they went as a band.
ZZ went 52 years!!! Same 3 guys!

They pointed out that they had been together 4 decades. Rare air. Much applause, damn good show.

The members then get into an ego contest about who is most important to the band’s success.

The great thing about ZZ is they just liked smashing their Texas Rock and that appeared to be the most important thing to them.

Pass gently, Dusty, and thanks for the decades of great music.

around but couldn't make it. For my taste, I saw them in their prime, but I loved the later stuff too. Great show but my ears rang for two days after!

I am now and was much too young to die. But video and audio guarantee that he and his band mates will live forever.

Great things come out of Texas sometimes.

But also some of the worst things.

and visit them sometimes. I must admit the everyday people there are very friendly and nice. It's very easy to get caught up in the whole Texas culture thing. Once I was there and I almost bought a cowboy hat. That was a close call.

Getting into the limo. Frist thought was who are the guys with the beards....OH, it's THEM!

Bartender said they came in all the time (it was an upscale restaurant.)

Obit said he died in his sleep. No other details.

They had about 75 tons of equipment, including long-horn steers and rattlesnakes.

Billy Gibbons had the rattlesnake in a cage below the mic stand and he began his story. "I was on my way to Atlanta Georgia and I ran across this rattlesnake. "Don't step on me Billy! Take me to Atlanta and let me boogie woogie with you!"

I believe that is the show where my eardrums were probably damaged?
