Between the progressive caucus, sinema, manchin, and the republicans, with one group insisting that the bipartisan infrastructure plan be tied to the 3.5 trillion reconciliation plan, another group who will not accept that linkage, plus the very real question that there are even 10 republicans in the Senate who would vote for the "bipartisan" bill, I don't think it will make it. The only thing left would be a reconciliation bill, which sinema has already said she would not vote for the 3.5 trillion dollar bill

If Biden is able to facilitate this and pull anything off, one bill or both, it would be impressive

(7,611 posts)He may not be inclined to see Joe Biden fail the way he wanted President Obama to fail. He knows who the GOP will nominate in 2024. And I really believe he hates Trump.
