(14,966 posts)It's a terrible, terrible song. I switch the channel for a few minutes when a sports broadcast airs the pregame one.
Also, our flag sucks major ass. Ugly. Tacky.
For me, the medal would be the melting-inducer. A tangible reminder of, at one particular moment, being the very best in the world at something.

Totally agreed about the flag though. It's a lazy, gaudy design. There are so many flags that are so much better. My favorites are Nepal, Wales, and Kenya. I WOULD rank Brazil (my mom's home country) because I love the design but I think "Order and Progress" sounds fascist.
