(1,000 posts)and the lives of their children in support of a con artist who could not care less about them. So I am willing to bet you are right. They want Biden to be a bigger failure than Dear Leader. When you are a science denier the idea that the virus should not have been given a foothold much less a chance to evolve does not even register.

(70,501 posts).... that President Obama tried to do for the economy and to help people so they would hurt and take it out
the President. Joe Biden has learned that lesson and will go around the blockages where he can and get
help to the people but as to the dumb fucks who supported and still support TFG fuck em you can't fix stupid.

(32,634 posts)... but the state and local authorities have dropped the ball. Especially when it comes to helping minorities, but really they just plain old don't want to do shit.
These ineffective administrators need to be called out in every state. The federal moneys that are intended for citizens who are hurting, well, that money is all going to get wasted if we don't get on this immediately.

(257 posts)I live in Mesa, AZ. Very red part of Maricopa County/Phoenix suburb. I actually got rental assistance back in May. The first issue I saw in my experience is that there are way too many different people handing the money out instead of just one centralized agency. Depending on where you live at in Maricopa County either you get it from your city or you get it from the county/state. It would have made more sense if they just had one agency Doling out all the money imo. I can't say how the other 49 states do it but I've got to imagine it's probably similar.
I bet that made it a little bit difficult for people to navigate which I'm sure discourages potential applicants.
I had to meet very specific criteria in order to get assistance. I had to show proof that my situation was directly due to covid. In my situation my child got It and had to miss school and I got it and had to miss work so it was easy to show proof that she tested positive and that my pay decreased during that two to three week time period. Not everyone's situation is that cut and dry with easily obtainable proof.
I also wonder how many people know that this money is out there and that it's readily available. Doesn't seem to be much of a public awareness campaign.
Perhaps I was just one that got lucky. Because of my situation I got really bad covid rash that kept coming back and it was making it hard to do anything. I kept missing their calls and not responding to their emails and they went above and beyond to try to get the info from me. When I finally got them all they needed it was no more than 3 weeks later I got the $. The best part was even though I was only a month behind on rent they sent $3900 to my landlord which is 3 months rent and all utilities except electricity.
So just my anecdotal story and my 2 cents.
