An RN has been maintaining what is a virtual memorial thread for young people stricken by Covid.
When will they ever learn...

(3,294 posts)First, I do wonder how their grandma feels about being consigned by them as "practically deserving it."
Second, young people die too and also end up with continuing problems.
They say they're in good shape, that they eat right and exercise, so they're not worried.
It's good to have a resource to say that no one is immune from the damage-- also that even if they don't get very sick, they could pass it on, maybe to that grandma they think might as well just die anyway.

(57,073 posts)Harvard epidemiologist, Dr. Ding has stated approx 1 in 12 kids who are infected will suffer with long haul.
Ya, don't you just love the "it's old people" getting really sick & dying?

(1,850 posts)Considering early on (and probably now too) I'd see many obituaries or death notices that said died with covid. They don't say died from or because of covid. Manipulating facts, not naming covid as cause of death.
So this account that memorializes young people who died and calling them severely affected seems appropriate and ironic. They were affected in the most profound way, loss of life.

It's more than antivax, no one is safe
on edit, I found the fifth, no politics on the likes page, just duck dynasty actors but she loved her kids
