I have finally reached my breaking point.. I have had some medical issues the last couple of weeks that have sent me to a number of medical providers.. as you can imagine, I am asked when I come into the medical centers about my health, exposure etc. and thankfully required to wear a mask.

But the idea that 40% of medical providers have not taken the vaccine has raised my last hackle. I am required to answer all these questions.. well guess what, today I started asking back. If people are not vaccinated or tested.. they do not need to be probing around my nose and mouth.. no thank you.. no way..

Thankfully everyone I asked today said they had been vaccinated.. but I will be honest with you.. the looks on their faces was one of shock. and actually gratitude. They are tired of being exposed to those who could take the vaccine, but refuse.

We can never say thank you enough to all the people who have put in the days and months taking care of all of us, including those who refuse to get the vaccine and end up in care .. they carry on.. I have nothing but the greatest respect for them

But for those who are providing care, while refusing to take the vaccine if they are capable of taking vaccines. I have the right to protect myself from them. So, if someone says they are not vaccinated I am going to ask for someone else to administer the tests I need. I feel terrible about that, but I am not in a position at this moment to let someone's politics put me at risk..

1. My dentist's main dental assistant NOT vaccinated

After expressing my concern the vaccinated receptionist (who had some assisting experience) took her place. I go to this dentist because he doesn’t aggravate my tinnitus, but there are Trumpie type issues at his office. Also, when I walked in for my dental work his office staff quickly pulled up their masks. Geezus

We should all be asking them, and I thank you for this thread.

It reminds me to be smart and assertive and ask when I have a medical appointment, which is rare. I do have a dental cleaning in a few weeks, and will call to ask this week.

The thought of having someone so close to my face, quite literally breathing on me even if they are masked was just so unsettling that I might have someone unvaccinated made it even more so..

12. Well! I was just told Hygienists "not required" to be vaccinated

And are NOT vaccinated at my dentists office. Of course they wear masks. Not sure what to do.

Want to have a discussion with my dentist. Want to cancel, at the last minute, tell them it's just too risky. Want to publicize this. Need to find another dentist who requires their office to follow CDC guidelines by getting vaccinated. I'm not happy.
