Nit to pick: directors are elected, not appointed. mahatmakanejeeves Aug 2021 #3

It's a small point, but it's a point anyway. They might as well be appointed. It's hard for management's choice to lose an election. Usually the percentage of votes tallied by the nominee is of North Korean proportions.

Thanks. Best wishes.

Elaine Chao is elected to serve until Kroger's annual meeting of shareholders in June 2022, at which time she will stand for election by the shareholders.

So, she was "elected" by eleven people, or something like that? Hmmm. A real squeaker.

I don't own Kroger stock, so no one called me to see what my choice was. I think I've seen her on another board. IIRC, I voted against her.

{edited} Must have been Wells Fargo.

Post-Bush administration (2009–2017)

According to financial disclosure forms, Chao was slated to receive $1–5 million as compensation for her service on the board of Wells Fargo.

Thanks.

Well, at least Greater Cincinnati is. This is par for the course.

If you start boycotting grocery chains based on the politics of their Board members, you won't eat.

Now, here's the part where you reply to tell me how you only buy from vegan co-ops or you forage all your food.
