WSJ... long time subscriber here. They're assholes.

I've been a daily WSJ reader for 30+ years.

My Father taught me at a young age there are 2 things a man should do in life. Read the WSJ daily and learn to play golf. He said that way 99/100 times you're the smartest person in the room and you can hit the links to make deals. But he was an asshole, too... lol

Golf never stuck but the WSJ did.

I primarily read the WSJ for hard news and Stock Market updates. I get mobile updates during the trading day that can guide my trades.

But the OpEds... and the framing of political issues.

Fucking assholes.

Today I get a headline "Inside President Biden's Lawless Eviction Ban"

And these folks are pissed about saving people from being tossed onto the streets... in the middle of a pandemic and make no mistake this IS the midst of a pandemic, still.

No, they'e NOT Trumpists, they're Lincoln Project and Bill Kristol type Republicans.

AKA assholes.

and it's been even worse since Murdoch bought it. Its news reporting is solid but its opinion writers suck ass.

Biden’s ban will most likely be judged not legal but while it’s being litigated it will allow congress to come up with a plan to mitigate the problems when the ban is removed .

In the House. That's why Pelosi couldn't muster up action - an unusual position for her this year. Real estate interests pushed some moderates very hard on it. I mean, Republicans gonna Republican, but the House was disappointing.

I don't know what the medium or long-term solution to this problem is. I just know that now is not the time to be tossing people into the street. Not with this variant.

Per James Carville. I heard him talking about it yesterday on some political podcast. I guess lots of people want to sell now, I guess.

Decades before Murdoch got his kangaroo paws on it, it had the reputation for having a good news section, but RW trash heap of an editorial section.
