More unvaccinated adults in the United States view the coronavirus vaccine as a greater risk to their health than the disease caused by the virus itself, a poll found.
The Kaiser Family Foundation released a survey Wednesday that found there was a big split between unvaccinated and vaccinated adults in what they perceived as the bigger threat during the pandemic.
Just over half of unvaccinated adults (53 percent) said they believed getting vaccinated posed a bigger risk to their health than getting infected with the coronavirus. In contrast, an overwhelming majority (88 percent) of vaccinated adults said that getting infected with COVID-19 is a bigger risk to their health than the vaccine, the report found.
Unvaccinated adults were also much less worried about the more transmissible delta variant and had less confidence in the safety and effectiveness of the vaccines compared with those who got the shots, according to the KFF survey.

(115,793 posts)are not dropping like flies. We are not overwhelming hospital ICUs like covid19 patients or falling over dead in the street or even developing strange rashes. If the vaccine is so dangerous where are the millions of people who are sick because of it?

Oh, did I mention they're idiots?
It sucks to say, but all we can do at this point is wait to see who the kool-aid kills, and count the numbers

And, sadly, their children.

(2,336 posts)Usually I say no thanks to his suggestions (people like Candace Owens) since they are spouting moronic nonsense. We don't talk politics every since the election when he and his wife (I'm pretty convinced it's her side of the family that "turned" him), but mostly she got insanely angry that I was adamant that Biden was going to be President. He won the election after all. They said, no. Well, okay.
So after that I knew there would be more discussions because you cannot reason, argue or discuss with someone's that dug-in to their beliefs.
I watched it, skipped ahead a few times but didn't really miss anything. I don't want to bring it any traffic but the article is "The Coming Covid Catastrophe" at the highwire.com which apparently is a right-wing site I've never heard of.
After watching I did a quick search online and the first thing I found was someone who had actually looked into this expert and exposes him in pretty decent fashion. So I sent this message back to him, "Watched that video interesting guy, I checked into him a bit more https://medika.life/how-geert-vanden-bossche-is-destroying-american-herd-immunity/ read that theres always more to the story."
Doubt he went to that site or read it if he did because, beliefs.
The gist of the video: The vaccine is why the virus is mutating, so taking the vaccine is the absolute worst possible thing you can do and it is the vaccine that is going to destroy us all.
Good luck changing someone's mind -- they literally are claiming it's because some people are vaccinated that the virus is mutating. The announcer even went so far as to say taking the vaccine completely eliminates your immune system. WTAF? Lordy, we are in trouble and many thousands are going to die. I totally expect over one million at this rate.

(11,949 posts)One was in bed at home for 5 days and was scared shitless. Almost went to the hospital. Her husband, who is vacced and did not get sick was also scared.
The other? Almost a week in the ICU on a vent. Out of the ICU but still on oxygen a month after getting it. I cant imagine his hospital bill. If I did not have good relations with the guy I would tell him my vaccine was free.
And in the next 2-3 weeks deaths are going to start catching up with the hospitalizations although we do have better treatment so I dont the deaths percentage going into ICU will be as high as last year. But the bill will be just as high. And lots will still die.
BTW the woman is 53 the guy in the ICU a healthy 62. Its not just old folks now.
