The turmoil of racism, especially in Texas, is still undergoing a strong current these days, and a Black high school principal is in the middle of one.
According to The New York Post, a Black high school principal said that he was told by a district official to take a photo of him and his white wife off of Facebook so that it wouldnt stir up stuff amid complaints from parents.
The Black principal of Colleyville Heritage High School, James Whitfield wrote a very detailed post on his Facebook page last week to speak on the incident from two years ago from when he was initially promoted to the top post at the middle school. ...........(more)

Bell Book Says Officials Told Racist Jokes : Reagan Aide Says He Doubts Claim by Ex-Education Secretary
October 21, 1987|Associated Press
WASHINGTON President Reagan's first secretary of education says mid-level Administration officials made racist jokes and other scurrilous remarks during civil rights discussions, but Reagan's chief spokesman said Tuesday he does not believe it.
Terrel H. Bell, in a memoir of Reagan's first term, said the slurs included references to the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. as "Martin Lucifer Coon" and calling Title IX, a federal law guaranteeing women equal educational opportunity, "the lesbian's bill of rights."
SNIP...
Bell did not identify those who made the racist or scurrilous comments. He could not be reached for further comment.
In his book, he says the jokes about King were made as Reagan was deciding whether to sign or veto a bill establishing King's birthday as a national holiday. He eventually signed it.
Bell said: "I do not mean to imply that these scurrilous remarks were common utterances in the rooms and corridors of the White House and the Old Executive Office Building, but I heard them when issues related to civil rights enforcement weighed heavily on my mind."
Bell added: "It seemed obvious they were said for my benefit, since they often accompanied sardonic references to 'Comrade Bell.' "

Btw a few weeks ago I was in Western Pennsylvania and
I saw a black NFL player (Steelers) with a very pretty and very white woman and they looked to be happy too. I chatted with them for a few minutes and complimented
the woman for being pretty and they both laughed and he patted my back.

(15,696 posts)C-ville, McKinney, Frisco, and many other blips in the road were easy targets for white flight pioneers who resented their DFW tax dollars being shared with those they deemed undesirable neighbors. They tooled into "town" and took over town councils, chose their own real estate developers, beefed up their own law enforcement agencies, and created little redneck bedroom community kingdoms.
There are so many of them now that they've ballooned into each other, and they seem to be unstoppable. The saddest part is that they don't care if they lose a lawsuit or court case in this matter because their only goal is to please their white majority.

All those sport fan bubbas with their favorite performing negros $100 Jerseys, DO NOT want to see your stunning beautiful white wives. It could damage the white school kids emotionally.
Here is some CRITICAL Race Theory. Blacks are much better athletes, with other physical attributes white women like. Mexicans taking their crop and roofing jobs and blacks taking their women. Imagine the babes Steve Bannon and Alex Jones have been denied. Proud Boys cant be Proud with this shit happening. Why aint God Blessin MurKKKa. We ask him relentlessly in speeches and printed on everything.

(9,197 posts)In the mid 1960s, African American Lionel Aldridge played defensive end for the Green Bay Packers. He started dating his white girl friend (in secret) when they met at college at Utah State, and continued after Aldridge was drafted by the Packers in 1963.
Eventually, they wanted to get married, but knew there would be push back. Aldridge went to Coach/GM Vince Lombardi and told him he wanted to get married, but wouldnt do it unless Lombardi approved. He knew doing so might cost him his career. Lombardi gave his blessing, telling Aldridge his personal life was his own. All Lombardi cared about was that he play hard and stay out of trouble.
Pete Rozelle, then Commissioner of the NFL, got word of what was afoot, and called Lombardi and told him to forbid the marriage because It wouldnt be a good look for the league. Lombardi, who always felt he had been discriminated against as an Italian American, and whose brother had faced discrimination as a gay man, told Rozelle that he had nothing to say about it. You run the league, and Ill run the Green Bay Packers.
The Aldridges were the first interracial couple to marry in the NFL. Although they eventually divorced, and Aldridge later suffered from schizophrenia, they opened an important door in the league, and it was in large part because of Lombardi, who opened every training camp by telling all of the players and coaches that if he ever saw any of them exhibiting prejudice of any kind due to race, ethnicity, religion, or sexual orientation, they would be fired on the spot.

(13,574 posts)And the school board claims he was asked to remove them because they were "questionable for an educator." Too racey? Please.
The Grapevine-Colleyville school district said in an emailed statement that the request to remove the photos had nothing to do with race.
When a social media concern is brought to the attention of the district, we have a responsibility to review it. Some of the photos the district received contained poses that are questionable for an educator, especially a principal or administrator. It had absolutely nothing to do with race, the school district said in the statement.
The district said that complaints about the social media posts were received in 2019 after Whitfield was promoted to principal at Heritage Middle School. He was named principal at Colleyville Heritage High School in 2020.
As a new campus principal, we wanted to provide a smooth transition for Dr. Whitfield to Heritage Middle School, which is why we advised him of the concern and made a request for the photos to be taken down from Facebook.
The photo that aired in initial media reports was not the only photo that was received by the District. Had that photo been the only image, there would have been no request to remove it.

And the thing that's almost worse is he is being accused and want him fired for teaching "Critical Race Theory." You know the big GQP bugaboo now and their rallying cry for the 2022 and 2024 elections. He of course isn't teaching CRT just the truth about racism in this country.
In this letter he promotes the conspiracy theory of systemic racism ... Clark said. Hes repeatedly tweeted approval of these books that promote this disruption of our community and country.
Yep, repubs think teaching about institutional racism is a "conspiracy theory."
