Today the sky was full of smoke, the sun orange, not yellow. I was sneezing a bit more than usual.
I cannot imagine what it is like to be a whole lot closer.
Love to all who are dealing more directly with the fires.

(33,222 posts)I've heard the 'rona doesn't travel as far in humid weather.
It's probably the same for smoke.
Still, I'd rather not wonder at all.

(10,788 posts)It's been like a yellow fog in Colorado Springs, too. It's going to be like that, off and on, until they get the fires under control.

(34,195 posts)The skies have been clouded with smoke. Yet the fire is about 900 miles away in Northern California.
In the past we have also been affected by smoke from fires in Colorado and Arizona plus we always have our own fires to deal with.

(86,880 posts)We finally got out of the heat dome a few days ago and have been getting rain but it doesn't get rid of the smoke. I've spent most of the summer, so far, indoors sheltering from heat and smoke. I wear a mask indoors in public already but don't always take it off when outside.
