N.M. expected to reach 1,000 new covid cases per day

I heard this on tonight's evening news in Albuquerque.
New covid cases in New Mexico are expected to reach 1,000 per day by the end of this month.

The highest rate of new cases is expected to be in the Southeastern part of New Mexico.
That is the Republican section of the state and the area of the state with the lowest rate of vaccinations.
