Like a bad hair-metal band, George Will is proof that the worst of the 1980s just never goes away.

He can go fuck himself.

They’ll be calling him a liberal before they recognize that he’s telling the truth…for once.

An example:

What city contributed most to the making of the modern world? The Paris of the Enlightenment and then of Napoleon, pioneer of mass armies and nationalist statism? London, seat of parliamentary democracy and center of finance? Or perhaps Titusville, Pa.

Oil seeping from the ground there was collected for medicinal purposes - until Edwin Drake drilled and 150 years ago - Aug. 27, 1859 - found the basis of our world, 69 feet below the surface of Pennsylvania, which oil historian Daniel Yergin calls "the Saudi Arabia of 19th-century oil."

Little turd made a lucrative career turning “Liberal” into a bad word. It got so radioactive that I can’t remember hearing any Democratic leader since Paul Wellstone publicly proclaim themselves a Liberal — until Joe Biden.

Funny how no one in Corporate McPravda EVER mentions how George Will helped prep Ronnie Reagan for the big debate using President Carter’s actual debate book, stolen by a GOP mole in the White House, while at the same time working as a journalist for ABC and talking up how great a man Pruneface was, without ever revealing Reagan was paying him to shill.

Typical modern conservative, illiberal mindset. They got to cheat to win, like the NAZIs they are.

It's a lot easier to set up a cutting remark when you already know how the other guy's going to respond.

“Are you better off than you were four years ago?”

Absolutely effective zingers, JHB. Made easy by lying, cheating, thieving, murdering and treason with impunity.

It is however another sign (not that those of us who stay informed needed another sign) that we are well and truly screwed. I was born an optimist and have always managed to see the glass half full, the silver lining of clouds et al. I have lost that life long optimism regarding the condition of our planet and the likelihood that anything will be done to even mitigate our impact on climate change. Buckle up it’s going to be a very bumpy road.

With the crazier and crazier weather of floods/extreme heat farmers will continue to struggle with crops and the supply chain will struggle with delivering food. I anticipate that shortages will become more and more frequent. So if you can stock up on canned goods and staples that have longer shelf lives to ease the pain during these shortages. 💕
