Gov. Ron DeSantis unveiled a new Jacksonville "rapid response unit" on Thursday for giving Regeneron injections that can knock out COVID-19 infections, and he said the state will expand the availability of such antibody cocktails by setting up similar operations into other parts of Florida.

"We're gong to bring a lot more Regeneron into Florida, which I think is important, but also just to raise awareness that this is the most effective treatment that we've yet encountered for people who are actually infected with COVID-19," DeSantis said.

I believe the treatment will be paid for by State and Federal deals with the drug maker, but how is this ethical (it isn't ), and how is this legal? It appears to cost about $2100 per dose.

Note* this treatment is several shots in the stomach AND/OR (from edit) shots in the arm. Enjoy!

The babies who are too scared to take a small one in the arm are going to need multiple shots in the gut. The worst pain I've felt in the hospital was a shot in the stomach.

10. It CAN be used subcutaneously into the thigh or back or arm as well as abdomen (away from navel

and waist). Two (or four, depending on the dose delivered) injections administered and spaced in different quadrants. While the alternative subcutaneous route to the intravenous infusion is helpful, it is still going to present logistical issues to any kind of "mass" delivery or even routine delivery in most ERs.

It is still supposed to be reserved for those at high risk of COVID-19 complications, including hospitalizations, so this suggestion it would be administered like candy or in lieu of vaccines is nuts.
