course, the bail out will have no compliance mandates attached to it and the Dems will ignore the PR opportunity to prove that all citizens believe in socialism.

I am just as sick of anti-vaxers as others on DU. No vaccine No medical treatment. Stay at home, you didn't believe in science and get the vaccine, don't clog our hospitals now that you're sick when the rooms are needed by others who believe in science.

1. Even if DoD immediately agreed to do this, it takes 96 hours minimum to get the ship ready to go, plus time is needed to pull staff out of various Medical Treatment Facilities and have them fill the Comfort ((and arrange for backfill)).

2. There's a storm ((expected to become a tropical storm again)) taking aim at the Gulf Coast for next week.

3. I expect many other places to be screaming for aid by next week.

4. I think a key constraint may be available staffing at "overrun" places, and that a faster way to solve that ((rather than send the Comfort)) would be to send in medical teams to supplement the staff. And if beds are also an issue, send in field hospitals too.
