I was just out in my yard, on my hammock. and saw some nice ones. Check it out after midnight in your area, if the sky is clear and dark. They can appear anywhere but will seem to radiate from the constellation Perseus, in the NE sky You can typically see one each minute on average. I always find wondering at the magnificence of nature a good way to take my mind off of the many horrors we see these days. Enjoy and share your experience! I'd still be our there but some clouds rolled in.

(9,073 posts)Thanks for the reminder. I would've totally forgotten. I live in a relatively dark area, so I'm going to head out in a few hours. Excited.

(989 posts)Chose a dark spot near my neighborhood, and saw all of two meteors in 50 minutes. I'm in the Las Vegas area, so I might not have been in the best location, but I had hoped to see more than that.
It's cloudy tonight, sadly.

(54,378 posts)I am in the Chicago area for work, and cant see any of this. My Greek friend was on the island of Sifonos. He had to call me to gloat. NATO will have one less ally if I get my hands on him.
