Leads for publisher for Afghan exchange daughter's story

to raise funds to get people out of that hellhole.

Some of you have followed this story of my Afghan exchange daughter who self-deported at the end of her exchange year with us, along with her sister, at age 15 and 16, to Canada. This was 2011.

She is desperate about what is happening in her home country with the collapse into Taliban hands.

We have long encouraged her to put her story into a book. Now would be a really good time, if she could raise awareness and funds to make a difference.

Any suggestions, contacts, or leads?

I'm sure you will need some money. But it seems the other is more important and how to get those ?

9. Do you have an idea how much money is needed ?

I think the best thing to do would be to raise money through other means. Donations, ask women's groups, refugee advocates, etc.

If and when any book deal is made then donate some of that money to these related causes.

Because getting a book published and making money from it if you are unknown is difficult. Can take years.

She can also consider ebook where she can directly do most things herself. Promote the book online .

5. The angle is her compelling personal story

as a teen, coming to US on exchange for first time out of her rural Afghan home via orientation in India and Dubai...and then running away to cross the border into Canada to safety with her teen sister ...to now, where she is trying to save her family left there.
