The Republican gray beards have been out in force this week about Afghanistan

I'm just wondering why these old men that populated the Lincoln Project think that the US, lead by people like them, can still win the hearts and minds of Afghanistan when these same people haven't been able to win the hearts and minds of conservative voters here in America over Trump, mask wearing, vaccinations ... can't they see, their time is at an end and so is the Afghanistan war.

As well as be reminded of who botched it from the start, just like the same guy botched Iraq.

Reagan and Bush Sr. while Bush Jr. began bombing the Taliban in Afghanistan in 2001. And that's
who to lay this mess on.

President Carter initiated a covert program to aid the Mujaheddin in 1979. Reagan and Bush continued it. The Taliban were a different group than those aided by Carter, Reagan and Bush Sr.

It's the RIGHT move.

Shrub, Cheney and the NeoCon choir including Bill Kristol, Rick Wilson and Steve Schmidt can all go to hell for fostering their "Spread Freedumb" philosophy.

Fuck endless war. The last war worth fighting for ended in 1945 and WE won.

Take the Trillions spent since 1946 and invest it in our own people first.

We'd live in a better place.

And for those curious about my inclusion of Wilson and Schmidt...

every anchor on MSNBC has been bleating about it and presenting a very one sided view. Same with CNN. It’s all about the money. The defense industry made tons out of Afghanistan.

Like her, but she was in GWB's WH when we invaded Iraq and ramped up in Afghanistan. She should be apologizing, not complaining about Biden getting the US out.

As sad as the end is for Afghanistan, Biden (and Trump before him) are where the majority of Americans who think we should get out, are.
