We need to have it at hospitals in every region of the state. I'm sure there's going to be a long line into that parking garage. We've got thousands testing positive every day. I don't know how long it will take to administer the therapy, but 25 beds seems like a relatively small number. I'm not complaining; I realize they're doing the best they can under the circumstances. I'm just saying that it's going to take a lot of effort, here in Mississippi and everywhere else.

the most and the rest of us have to suffer through? I am sorry but we are already divided but this is too much for me to take after having lost a spouse, two cousins, and a grand parent who all died on the cusp of the vaccine while behaving responsibly with masking and social distancing. I am just too angry about these anti-vaxxers!!

They started talking about this therapy a long time ago, back when Trump got sick and they used it to save his sorry ass. He said then that he was going to get it for everybody, but it didn't happen, big surprise.

This therapy should have been started back before we had the vaccine. It probably would have saved a lot of lives. But oh well, we have to take what we get when we get it and accept it.

So that's our reality. We have to try to save as many as we can, regardless of their vaccination status or anything else. We have to do it, if for no other reason than it will keep them from clogging up the hospital system when people come in from car wrecks, heart attacks, etc. The hospital system in Mississippi is close to collapsing, so this is what we have to do.

which they wouldn't have needed-- will act like Trump afterwards. "I BEAT IT! I'm the king of immune! I'm that tough! Don't need a vaccine! I'm stronger than Covid! All you losers aren't as tough as I am!"

Maybe we can duct-tape them to a gurney then?

Yes, I can just see it. And a lot of them are going to decide not to get the vaccine because they can go get the therapy when they test positive. People like that make you want to stop helping people sometimes. But you have to keep doing it. You don't have to like it, but you have to do it.

on the verge of collapse. No more beds and no more staff for anybody. So this is an emergency measure to keep the worst from happening.

when the hospitals were desperate for help. He was off at Republican governors conferences! He finally came home, but I don't think he's really done much to help.

We had a chance to elect a decent governor not long ago. Jim Hood had been attorney general for years, and he was going to expand Medicaid as governor, but the people who would have been helped by that either didn't vote or they were too fucking ignorant to realize how much they would have been helped by it. Because Jim Hood was a Democrat. And because soshalizm. I better quit talking about it. It burns me up!

time that is lacking on the part of many severely ill Covid patients. It'll be way too late. FL's idiotic governor announced the same thing the other day, so just wait, every other red state will soon follow w/ such announcements...TX is already running out of nurses, and I assume other medical personnel (from prior DU article read several days ago), hired over 2000 more from out state (my question was 'from where'?).

I suspect the Feds won't be a major source of help either for what help there is, is probably already being used...
