The Afghan withdrawal...

..is a big stink. Wasn't the "plan" based around some premise the Afghan military would make an effort to fend off the Taliban?

These people are dirt poor and sometimes went for months without pay which they
needed to feed their families. You can
rightfully complain about the money being spent - but it didn't go to poor chumps on the
front line. I suspect much of it was siphoned off by the upper echelon of the Afghan
military and warlords.

Would you put your belly out there to be slit (for free)? I sure the fuck wouldn't.
