ReTHUGs and the usual warmongers are way more concerned about Afghanistan than they are about the ReTHUG led failed coup at home.

What about MF45 freeing 5,000 hard core Taliban from prison who were the ones who lead the takeover of Afghanistan?
Bring on the committees.

They ignore the fact G W Bush started this senseless war. They want the war to continue
so as to benefit the Military Industrial Complex.

(32,083 posts)They're really more upset about the demise of one of their big cash cows. They never gave a shit about Afghanistan or its people, beyond using them as a prop for their warmongering. And, now they use them as an excuse to pillory Joe Biden.

(5,397 posts)to make the locals think, act and dress like Americans.
Wasn't ever going to work.
But hey! At least they've got the 'every Man needs a gun' thing right in Afghanistan!
They never considered the culture and the locals' attachments and how they wanted to live. We went in there, blew stuff up, kicked down doors and told these people how they were going to live. And we were going t stick around and blow stuff up, kick down doors and torture people until they turned into miniamericans... where have we seen this before?
So the lesson that should be learned is; Learn about a people's culture and what they want in the world (probably for wealthy countries to stop attacking them and stealing their resources) and help them achieve this if possible. Not everyone wants to be us and we shouldn't be going around trying to force them to be claiming that humans rights are our interest when in fact we just want their resources whether it's minerals, animals or humans.
That is our history and it needs to change for the sake of our species.

(22,656 posts)We need to be pounding the point that President Biden has balls of steel to have made a tough decision. It's what wise men do.
They need to put on their big girl panties and get a grip. This narrative can be spun in many directions. The faux outrage is the reaction of an undisciplined, unamerican bunch of cowards. They need to fack right off because there's too much work to be done for our people and our country.
Afghanistan is over party starts today. We can't expect the complainers to do anything right. They can't lead. They won't follow. And if they won't get out of the way, they deserve to be steamrolled.
The Democrats are in charge now. And the Republicans are the crybaby Losers. And they're scared.

(6,186 posts)... in these unnecessary trumped-up [concoct especially with intent to deceive] wars.
It was the ReThugs that lied us into this mess.
It was the ReThugs the enriched themselves from war profits.
Why do they continue to offer up their children for "cannon fodder".
Considering we have been fighting in the middle east for at least 20 years. Some of the 2-year-old kids when we entered Afghanistan have surely shed blood in the middle east.
IS THERE ANY HOPE of ever-changing their blind allegiance to the very people who keep them poor, uneducated, and in this case, sacrifice their kids to perpetuate the vicious cycle.
Now including dying from a virus that has a vaccine to give all who take it a better chance of avoiding dying from COVID.
