Anderson Cooper was free lance too in Rwanda.

(32,639 posts)... as do a lot of Americans who have been living there for the past several years. He probably needs some va-cay time, as do a lot of those journalists.
I've made it a point to follow Richard Engel on his Friday night shows. Periodically he has an hour show "Richard Engel On Assignment" when Rachel gets the night off. I believe he does it remotely because he can't always fly into NY to do the show. Sooner or later I think he'll get a big promotion and a regular show on NBC.
