US MSM new coverage and their "opinion"Delta variant ravages across the US threatening the live and well being of all citizens. old news. secondary story at best
Hospitals overrun with patients in the south. not news worthy.
US former president leading an insurrection cue to destroy democracy and election integrity. whatever, it is time to moved on.
Massive heat wave, drought, and wild fires across the country. This story not interesting enough.
Mass shooting. A thing of the past.
Newly passed infrastructure bill that will effect almost US citizens. yawn
A 20+ year war were most Americans are not really interested in (being honest) or know why we were there in the first place. This must dominants all other news stories for weeks.
My prediction.
Note, I'm not saying this story is not news worthy, but there are so many stories that need to be covered in the US. In world news, of course, this should be covered. However, US national news, mainly coverage US stories and most don't even know why American are even fighting that war anymore.

(10,144 posts)the story will be about how Joe Biden successfully got us out of the Afghan quagmire. There is no public support for propping up a corrupt and ineffectual Afghan government.
As you say maybe a week or two and the story is gone.
