That was a president. Strong, humble but unbowed. With a dreadful job to do.

"The Biden Doctrine" is a real thing now. His stamp is on history. I'm proud of him in a sad, deeply regretful kind of way. I'm saddened by the times, by the division that's going to flail away at him at our peril, and by the backbreaking task of trying to find a way to support people who have lost hope.

I hope we can find a way. I'm so glad he's president. I cannot imagine what anyone else could have done better.
