Well, they'd love to strip rights from everyone who isn't white and male and a "Christian" of the right wing variety.

(16,858 posts)And the infuriating thing to me is this: up until this week, most didn't give two shits about Afghanistan or it's people. You can't be totally apathetic to a situation and then, when it doesn't turn out the way you had imagined in a storybook ending, feign outrage.

(5,227 posts)any of the cable news networks. You'd think this was the worst thing to befall the USA since 9/11! Overkill and Biden bashing 24/7. Do the righties really want to let thousands of Muslims in to this country without getting vetted? Hypocrites.

(4,170 posts)I dont see that theyre distorting that at all. Your op title is certainly a distortion however. Ive heard no one say anything near that.
Would you rather they sugarcoat what is happening over there? Funny how it becomes fake news all of a sudden if we dont like it. Turn off your tv if you cant handle it, as you suggest, but hopefully someone somewhere will be taking steps to avoid a repeat of this in the future. This is about keeping promises to those whose help we needed and made use of. Its a bad look not to keep promises.
Relax, the public has short memories and will have forgotten about this soon enough. President Biden will be fine.
