General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsHas anyone here ever gone streaking?
I don't recall the details as to why, but I know that my uncle and several of his friends ran around school wearing nothing but jock straps on one occasion.
There are a limited number of people who are bold enough to do it, but I would laugh my ass off if a group of students decided that if masks are optional, clothes should be too.

(12,265 posts)Guilty, a bunch of us had a little more than we should have of various things, and decided to streak across campus. I was a lot faster back then, they didn't catch me, but they did catch two of my friends. If the internet were around I wonder how much of the stupid stuff I did then would come back and bite me.

My younger brother went streaking and the guys who were picking him up in the car got rolling before he got all the way in, he fell and removed a lot of hide from his back and his butt. He was still living with our mother and I do not recall what he told her happened.

(115,691 posts)in February. In Minnesota. He was wearing only a stocking cap, boots, a scarf and mittens. I think this would have been in 1968 or 1969, so one of the early streakers.

(32,639 posts)Crazy high school stuff.... probably drunk and high to boot. After high school (maybe college) I don't think anybody did it. It wasn't a popular thing for very long.
I'm guessing streaking started around the time of Woodstock?

(23,226 posts)It was more of a thing then.
About 20 of us on one floor of a men's dorm decided that the uptight women of a "Christian" college were lacking something in their education. So about 10:00 we gathered in a corner of a cemetery that sits near the women's dorm, stripped down, "nekkid as jaybirds," except for some black face-paint, and made a dash out in front of that dorm, did our "flash dance" for the assembled ladies (who had been told shortly before that we were coming), then scurried back to the dorm. A couple guys from the men's dorm gathered up our clothing from the cemetery and returned them to us.
A couple days later, everyone in our dorm got a nastygram from the Dean of Men to the effect that there would be zero tolerance for any future such escapades, which would be grounds for expulsion.

(13,783 posts)... the stage of an art lecture stark naked. The professor looked at the audience afterward and said "The first was baroque and the second Rococo." This was in Hillary's day at Wellesley College. I didn't see it, but everyone on campus heard about it.

(34,136 posts)Totally nude. Problem was he was on his way to law school and his father was head of the Florida Bar Association at the time. It was very embarrassing for his dad, who had to prevent himself from pulling strings since his son was photographed and easily identifiable.
I just checked - my classmate is now an assistant district attorney and his father became president of the American Bar Association (who made history by recommending that Richard Nixon be removed from office).
