The GQP wants the pandemic to continue
until they get back in power. Maybe even longer. They know rising cases, mask and vaccine mandates and Covid restrictions hurt Democrats politically and get the Trumpanzees angry enough to get out and vote.
It's what they're doing in California with their undemocratic recall. It's how they think they'll win back the House and force more popular Democratic Governors out of office like in my home state of Kentucky.
They've also using it as an excuse for all these voter suppression and election subversion laws their passing. Not that they ever needed one.
Thankfully the Biden administration is beginning to realize they're fighting a war on 2 fronts: one against the virus and the other against red state Governors in swing states deliberately trying to prolong the pandemic.

I wonder when they will figure out that the vast majority of people dying because they are not vaccinated, are "republicans"!
Of course I guess if they want to continue to "own" the libs while losing voters it's their problem.
