Reports are coming out that the infamous Taliban have changed there tune, and they want to side

with the Communist Chinese to help rebuild the country......what do these two have in common with there psychopathic tendencies, besides greed to prop themselves up....well then there is human rights.....and Hong Kong is in some ways could be thought of in this mix...because when someone in power says one thing and then does another....well...there are those that just will put up corporations in a country and then turn a blind eye...

The countries are on the hook to pay them back. Sort of like their very own International Monetary Fund.

Friedman: President Xi, what do you think of all the American commentators proclaiming China a winner from Biden’s withdrawal of U.S. forces from Afghanistan?
Xi: Oh, my, these are what we call useful idiots. What planet are these people living on? We had a perfect situation going before Biden came along. America was hemorrhaging lives, money, energy and focus in Afghanistan — and their presence was making the country just safe enough for Chinese multinationals to exploit.

The Metallurgical Corporation of China and Jiangxi Copper had a contract to develop a copper mine in Mes Aynak, and the China National Petroleum Corporation was working on a field in the north of the country — and the Americans were funding the overall security. That is our idea of perfection! Alas, neither of these projects ever got off the ground because of the craziness in the Kabul government. But Afghanistan is hugely rich in minerals we need. Who will protect our investors after the Americans have stopped doing it for free? Not me.

I wish I could provide a link but I didn't think to bookmark it and I have my history on delete. Sorry. I'm thinking it might have been in the Asia Times. . .

The only concrete evidence that the "Chinese alliance"
is happening is here: But to me there's probably going to be more exploitation than collaboration.

Kabul starts race for Afghan resources

In 2007, China won rights for the $2.9 billion development of a copper mine at Aynak**, Logan province, in the south, leading to the replacement of Afghanistan's previous minister of mines following accusations of bribery. The development of the 24,200-hectare site (over 15 square miles) will destroy an area filled with ruins of fifth-century Buddhist monasteries.

Aynak, believed to contain the second-largest copper reserves in the world, will be Afghanistan's largest infrastructure project. China has a 30-year lease and is expected to spend over $3 billion developing the project, where the deposits are estimated to be worth up to $88 billion.

Aynak's development by China has already led to construction of a coal-fired electrical plant because there were no power sources available, as well as the country's first freight railway. The contract includes obligations by China to contribute significantly to the social infrastructure, building mosques, hospitals, markets and bazaars.

It will take years to develop Afghanistan's mineral wealth, but the potential is significant. Snip...
