The city of Orlando is asking residents to reduce water consumption IMMEDIATELY. Liquid oxygen used to treat water is being diverted to the hospitals to treat COVID patients. They believe if water consumption doesn’t change, water treatment could hit a critical point in a week.

Right. The tweet is based on the story aired by the Fox Broadcasting affiliate in Orlando, channel 35, WOFL.

Over the air television stations are most certainly part of the media. Further, even the ones owned by the FOX Corporation, in a division separate from Fox News, are eager to go after a story.

So I don't see how you concluded that the "media" will ignore this story.

Those of us who are vaxxed are still wearing masks, distancing and being vigilant. I, for one, won’t go to the east coast to see my sister b/c my 45 y o nephew n 40 y o niece will not get vaxxed..so now.. some are asked to conserve their water usage for the unvaxxed so they can breathe.. do I have this right? Very ill folks with heart conditions, stroke, car accidents n others in need of medical care are at the end of the line b/c the hospitals are taken up with Covid patients.. a very preventative condition most of us are trying to avoid. It says they are also suffering shortages of liquid oxygen-certified truck drivers. That's going to be a big problem - you need a HAZMAT endorsement to haul LOX, and those take some doing to get. You have to go through a background check and pass a very hard test to get that endorsement.

Commercial airliners no longer carry a tank of oxygen to feed passenger masks. Instead, they use chemical oxygen generators, which react a mixture of chemicals to produce oxygen. These things get hot quick. Someone had illegally loaded expired chemical oxygen generators into the cargo hold - these aren't allowed to be carried as freight on a passenger plane. The plane had a small jolt on the runway, which allowed at least one of the generators to ignite...which caused the rest of them to ignite. So you had a big roaring fire already, which made its way to the several tires also being carried as cargo.

The utility is conserving oxygen by using less, but they can't do so indefinitely without degrading the water supply. The utility can't easily bring in more liquid oxygen because they would need more drivers and the drivers need hazmat training and certification.
