... does it mean that things are better than previously thought, or that things are worse than previously thought? The word "end" could have a positive connotation that means: "end of the pandemic" or "end of risk" ... or it could also have a negative interpretation like: "end of our rope" or "end of the road".

Ive read his updates fairly regularly for a while. Otherwise I wouldnt try to interpret.
