Retired Mass State Police captain had 5,000 images of child porn
A retired State Police detective captain (Francis Hart, 60, of Amherst) arrested and arraigned for allegedly possessing child porn was tracked down via a national CyberTipline and was caught with 5,000 images, records show. That tip was forwarded from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, the AG’s office reported.
State Police reported seizing 5,000 files, both images and video ... Some of those
images depict a female child suspected of being “3-to-4 years old” being shown in a “lewd and lascivious” manner.

He is charged with two counts of possession of child pornography. He pleaded not guilty late last week and was
released after posting a $2,500 cash bail. Hart is listed on state payroll records as earning an
annual pension of $112,248. He cannot have contact with any child under the age of 18 and must stay off the internet, the court ruled.
