These two women...

One a Senate member, the other was a candidate for Congress. The two are, or one tried to be a representative to their state and our country. Neither show respect and dignity that the office demands. They both make a mockery of the office one holds and one desired.

I am horrified. tRump was bad enough, we don't need this from ourside.

Is she being black-mailed or is there a big payday personally to vote Republican?

She's a former Green Party member who represents a state that's trending blue. So her response is to move to the right and ingratiate herself to Mitch McConnell??

The simplest explanation is that she just likes the attention, so I'm going to go with that.

12. Didn't know about her Green Party affiliation..that explains a lot.

Objecting to the Democratic Party efforts of unity is what that fringe group is known for.
It's a fickle bunch & standing out is more their mantra than standing together for the greater good.

Now I REALLY don't like her!
Green Party, as in Jill Stein. That's Green as in $$$, not environment.

I get that we're a big tent with many opposing views. So thanks for giving us that slim Senate majority, but ffs can just this once, a BFD that it is, stand behind our Leaders & not use it as an opportunity to stand out from the crowd.

to a bill that may be less than the desired 3.5 trillion. I can’t believe she’d sink the whole thing without negotiating. If she does then fuck her sideways.

5. These two are not the same. Turner is one huge scam, but Sinema has a history of going off on her...

own way, and has, on occasion, been on the right way.

Two questions here-- first is when we started complaining about female appearances? Is it sexism, or some other -ism only when we comment on women we like? Open season on women we dislike?

Turner in pajamas at a campaign event is admittedly beyond the pale, but what's wrong with Sinema's dress? Or wig?

Next is when we forget just what a Senator's job is. We complain mightily when Republicans insist on following the party line, but now Democrats must? The excuse the Republican party lines are forces of evil while ours are pure as the driven snow doesn't really cut it. Sinema's job is to represent her state, not the opinions of DU or the DNC, or Bernie. While I my disagree with her on many things, I can't condemn her for doing what she sees as her job.

It's called politics, and we have to deal with it. We've been dealing with it for hundreds of years, and no reason to stop now.

The houses are decades old and a hallowed institution that should be respected.

This isn't a sleepover and as for the dress and wig, all fine in the appropriate settings. Not in the Senate. I am appalled at Sinema's very short, tight dress. As a woman, I find it insulting that she would wear it and the stupid wig. We women have worked our asses off to become equals in pay and respect. She is making a mockery of us all while collecting a yearly check of 175K, best health care by far and many other perks.

Honestly, I feel she has called open season on all women less fortunate than her.

I don't see anywhere that I said she had to follow party lines, that was your statement not mine.

My post is about respect for the position you hold as you represent your constituents and the high office as Senator as you represent this nation.

A side note, Gym Jordan disrespects his office as well as he walks around in shirt sleeves and sits at hearings looking like a slob.

9. I'm on the fence about the clothes. I've seen female executives dress similarly. My question is...

about the limits on discussion of women's clothes.

Aside from the length and absence of cartoon flower, is there any significant difference between Sinema and this:

You didn't have to say anything about party line. Sinema is being trashed because she's not for trashing the filibuster and the 3+ trillion bill.

That's party line. "Good" Democrats do the right thing, as defined by the moment.

Both he and Sinema look like they make a conscious choice every morning to thumb their noses at the institution they chose to serve in. Meh.

that well defined. She's on the line, wherever it is, but maybe not over it.

Went through this at the office for years. Managers in suit and tie, female managers a jacket over blouse, mailroom guys just no jeans, female clerks, just be clean, secretaries, blouse and skirt preferred.

Things are changing, though.

She well above the line.

I am wearing shorts right now, they cover far more than her hem line and don't bunch in the crotch because they are far to tight. I am wearing them at home, because it is hot and they are comfortable. I take care of my mom 24/7 and don't care what they look like. She is a member of the Senate taking care of our Governments business and representing not only her State but our country as well. I object to her wearing a Friday night party dress on the job.

Respect.

7. Meghan McCain and Sinema have a "special friendship" and say they have a lot in common.
Tue Aug 24, 2021, 01:41 AM

Text each other all the time. Think they're both independent thinkers, mavericks. Sinema can't think about John McCain without getting teary-eyed. They're practically twins!

McCain is infamous for her ridiculous hairstyles and clothing that looks like it's from the backroom of Kathy's Kozy Korner Boutique in a small town somewhere during the 20th century. Sinema is infamous for her attention-grabbing fashion looks too.

Coincidence? I think not. That's what all the texting is about. How to troll the media and the libs with maverick fashion statements. This is my conspiracy theory and I'm sticking to it.

Love the bathrobe-over-PJs comment.

She and Meggie? The Meg that got bumped from the view for her views? That Meg? That explains a lot.

Not just a bathrobe and PJ's. She wore sneakers. No wonder Shontell won.

Meg was all smiles, glowing. With liberals she's like an angry bear after waking up from hibernation. Being bosom buddies with Meghan explains a lot.

Independent thinkers!

Kamala Harris looks great in sneakers, doesn't wear them with a bathrobe over PJs. Nina should've stuck with her signature wrap dress and not try to copy anyone else's style.
