Kaiser Permanente has just announced that as part of the process of returning employees from working at home to their normal worksites, a number of steps related to Covid testing and vaccination have been instituted. There are intermediate steps to effect vaccination of employees, including suspension without pay, but the bottom line is that as of December 1, unvaccinated employees will no longer be eligible to work anywhere at Kaiser. This if from an internal memo, so I don't have a source to cite.
I'm Permanut, and I approve this message.

(46,045 posts)I worked for Kaiser for 22 years at the huge Oakland hospital. Because of Kaiser I was able to retire with a pension and a 401k. I love Kaiser. I still get all my care there, and I wouldn't go anywhere else.
Kaiser Oakland currently has "We support Black Lives Matter" posters all over the place.

(16,378 posts)It's not perfect, but it sure beats every other place I've worked. We have a strong union and great benefits. We pay almost nothing for our healthcare and prescriptions. Employees rarely leave except to retire.

(36,464 posts)but as far as health insurance companies/providers, go, I like them. More than any other I've had over the years. The facility I go to has never dropped their mask mandate. They also have some kind of device where you expose your forehead & it takes your temperature at the entrance of the building.
And that thing Biden did recently, increasing the tax credit for the ACA for some people, that is saving me $157 a month.
