Politico wants a pass to lie about Biden's historic Afghan evac because presidents lied in the past

Michelangelo Signorile @MSignorile
Politico actually asking people to "forgive the media" for "skepticism" re: "impressive logistical feat" of evacuating 70,000 people from Afghanistan.

No proof offered, just that we should "forgive" them b/c they've been "lied to" by past presidents.

Can't. Make. It. Up.

Jim Sciutto @jimsciutto 1h
—>> New: 19,000 people evacuated from Kabul in last 24 hours. US military aircraft departed with 11,200 people, coalition partners evacuated 7,800.

In total, 88,000 people have been evacuated so far.

In fact, the "we've been lied to before" has been proffered in certain quarters as justification for Reps. Moultrie and Meijer political stunt in going to Afghanistan and getting in the middle of things.

and easily replaced with something more convenient when the need arises. Too much showboating and not enough actual substance.

Every politician should be held to account. Hard questions need to be asked. That, however, is very different that CREATING a narrative about chaos and horror without actually looking at the facts.

Jen Psaki answers questions clearly and with evidence to back up claims. She even allows the idiot Ducey to ask his bad faith questions and answers masterfully. In comparison every single Trump press secretary lied, openly, brazenly, and aggressively about the administration, yet there was little push back, except in editorials.
