(65,334 posts)While it's true that almost 2 in 3 very big companies do their own healthcare plan management, the vast majority of companies contract with insurance companies to create group plans.
It seems likely that under ACA, propensity to contract COVID is a preexisting condition. The law says insurers can't raise rates because of that.
Big outfits like delta don't market their healthcare coverage to the public, so ACA doesn't seem to apply.
These big companies, combined, still represent a small piece of the overall national work force.
But, I'll take some good, over no good, every time.
