(22,495 posts)She was able to scribble, "Pump hurts" once. Other than that she would flutter her eyes a lot. I always checked the amount of oxygen they were giving her because they told me that using oxygen will keep the person alive but it somehow makes the lungs worse. So you want the amount of oxygen as low as possible while getting an adequate amount in the blood supply.
The day before she died she turned her head to me and mouthed, "I love you" so clearly. I jumped up and started saying how we were going to take a vacations and blah blah blah and she just looked straight ahead with her eyes fluttering. And then I knew what that, "I love you" meant. She knew she was about to die. And the next day that's what happened.
