Been trying to wrap my head around the resurgence of COVID in Missouri.

I grew up in rural SW MO. in the 50's and 60's. I had no idea that the seeds of this current batshittery were present then. How does a community move forward when a solid fraction of the people there have shown a death wish for themselves, their family members, friends, and everybody around them?

just as I do where I live now. I don't understand the denial of science or the resistance to common sense.

If it wasn't centered on Covid, it would be something else. Their golden boy was able to turn a medical issue into a political issue, with his people on one side and you on the other. Nothing matters but winning, even if a million Americans end up dead.

I see it here in the Deep South...in spades.
