I can smell the smoke from the Isle Royale National Park fire

Dog came down stairs so I let her out to do her business and I could smell smoke and over at the street lights, the air looked hazy. My wife came down, thinking I was in the bathroom, to let our dog out. I told her about the smoke and she said many people had been commenting on that last evening on Facebook and it's the smoke from the fire on Isle Royale National Park. As the crow flies, we live about 80 or so miles away from the island.

It's back to bed I go.

One evening we had completed setting up the tent and were ready to boil our goop for dinner. We looked back on tent placement, it was on a trail/path leading to a very nearby lake. As we were eating a large female moose was wondering in the lake less than 20 feet from us. She stayed in the lake and eventually made her way further down the shore.

We looked back at the tent location. We figured the trail/path to the lake was likely made by the moose. Not wanting a moose to come through the tent in the middle of the night we decided to relocate to another spot.
