Our regulations on concentrated media ownership are horrendous..it enables outcomes like this one.

became worse because our lawmakers made it possible. The Telecom Act 1996 was a huge gift to corps but not to democracy.

While agreeing that it's generally NOT a good thing, if the laws are loose, we Democrats may as well use them to our advantage as well. i.e., What's good for the goose..

hidden in the woods and if it's also harder to post Politico hits here.

Otherwise, how many read Politico as a regular source now? Not many. And those who aren't fooled by it into not voting Democrat now certainly wouldn't be by a new version aimed at a more overtly hostile audience.

publications that are read by Americans overall for content that are apparently going all out Fox like, worries me.

There are too many like Politico already. After watching the insurrection, I see things like this as more warning signs that more people could get sucked in.

the more they can be seen. There are tradeoffs, but maybe we have more to lose, as you say.

It's so frustrating, though -- people thinking poisoned narratives must be true because they saw in them in supposedly respectable journals.
