Trump left only 2500 troops in Afghanistan

Biden has actually increased the troop strength for the evacuation.
People act like we still had tens of thousands of troops there to secure Kabul, a city of 4 million people.
It was a shit situation from the start.

As much as I empathize about how hard it is to deal with a mess that was handed to someone, I feel like there is little excuse to the Democratic Party constituents (many who are the victims when Republicans take over) to be caught flat footed by Republican Party traps.

4. And Trump wanted all to be out in May. Biden extended it to September. SOOO you know whose

fault it is that marines were killed - Biden. Of course it gets down to a lot of Americans did not leave in May, a lot of support staff did not leave in May. For the life of me, if a person knows that the Taliban is coming back in June, I think I would have gotten out in May if not before. I understand why Biden extended the US stay and brought in some marines to assist. But it comes down to why didn't the Americans in Afghanistan get out when they were supposed to.

5. Way past mattering now, but we should have put more troops in earlier.

Biden could have simply given a speech saying that trump had drawn troops down too low to securely withdraw troops, US contractors (mercenaries), profiteers, and get Afghan allies out.

Blame it on trump and provide troops so State Department didn’t have to say, “You are responsible to get to the one place we still sort of control— Kabul airport.”

6. The main withdrawal took place under Obama.

There were 100,000 troops there in 2011. When Trump took over there were about 7500.

7. And how many of the 300,000 supposedly 'well-equipped and trained' Afghan troops

Were keeping the peace in 2017 when Trump took over?

Obviously Trump was handed a pretty good security situation as less than 70 troops died there in Trump's whole 4 years, and you know it's not because he did anything right.
