"anecdotal reporting" is now a thing. Wingnuts are big on it, example one Dana LOESCH

The despicable (how's that instead of "Deplorables" and "Neanderthals"?) gunnut wingnut Dana LOESCH (pronounced “lash” as in LASHING Biden) is on the wingnut radio with a heartrending story about an Afghan who worked extensively with our troops, how he and his family are “abandoned.” Yes, it *IS* heartrending. So are thousands and millions of other stories in the context of this war and ANY war. And when the story is told by veterans, they are called “war stories.” Only civilians with zero concept of what happens in war will abuse human suffering by cherrypicking stories to play politics. Including the civilian families of veterans, which is why there is frequently a severe DISCONNECT between veterans and their families. Mrs LASH, any update from you on the hundred thousands of successful evacuations?

In the abundance of IRONY in wingnut times (how they abandoned all pretense of their formerly professed principles and moral status), it’s on a lesser level, but how ironic that they used to mock Libs as being “bleeding hearts” and “snowflakes,” but when they can use a heartrending anecdote as a weapon on Libs, they will do it.

Unfortunately, there are plenty, perhaps even a majority, in the military and among veterans who are wingnuts, many of them willing to enlist their war stories in the wingnuts’ repertoire.

****** And I learned long years ago not to GLOAT over any misfortunes of my political foes since Karma can zero turn on an FDR dime, and spiritually not to wish misfortune on others, but after the foes are struck for the moment, I can POINT OUT their hypocrisy: To wit, the wingnut fellow below. Am indulging in my own anecdotalism.

Texas Anti-Mask 'Freedom Rally' Organizer Fighting For His Life With COVID-19

…. Caleb Wallace, a 30-year-old father of three, has been unconscious, ventilated and heavily sedated in the ICU at Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo since Aug. 8, the Standard-Times reported. His wife said on a GoFundMe page for household and medical bills that he was was intubated multiple times, had high fevers, infection and bleeding in his chest.

In July, Caleb Wallace reportedly helped organize “The Freedom Rally,” an event that billed itself as a protest against the “government being in control of our lives.” He also founded “The San Angelo Freedom Defenders,” which hosted a rally last year to “end COVID tyranny.” ….

Jessica Wallace told the Standard-Times that she was “less conservative” than her husband and personally wears a mask.….

… Republican Gov. Greg Abbott has issued an executive order banning mask mandates. Some local officials have fought back or defied the order, creating a confusing patchwork of rules across more than 200 counties.

"WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump cast his decision to abandon Kurdish fighters in Syria as fulfilling a campaign promise to withdraw from 'endless war' in the Middle East, even as Republican critics and others said he was sacrificing a U.S. ally and undermining American credibility."

This is a futile attempt to prempt the wingnuts’ predictable gloating over the American deaths for their purpose to whip BIDEN. So for starters, what about RAYGUN’s dead Marines. Not to mention RAYGUN’s AIDS deaths – oh, wait, I forgot those don’t matter.

I say for starters, because we could throw in there how many of the deaths in Iraq and other places by other ReThugs, many thousands more that could be chalked up if we could determine how necessary and how valid or invalid the mission was.

Not to mention that President BIDEN's mission is both strategic in its positivity and humanitarian, while those of other administrations were plain wrong and in RAYGUN's AIDS cases downright malicious.
