last 20 years and now it's 24/7. They think Biden getting out is bad, but if he suddenly changed his mind they'd think that was bad. All I can figure is they're grasping for scandal since the Biden years aren't as "juicy" as the Trump years.

I would really like more covid coverage as it directly impacts my daily life. Although coverage of any military action is important the constant drone on and on and second guessing is so unhelpful and frankly I believe puts our troops in danger. The questioning during the news conferences is so repetitive and frankly just often ignorant.

what Democrats are doing and trying to do around the nation, instead. It's total immersion Afghanistan (and of course DU's baked in angry ranting about trumpists and anti-vaxxers). At some point the network heads will pivot away to another story -- of their choice and styled to serve their interests. Wash, rinse, repeat.

Right up to Tuesday, November 8, 2022.

Don't expect a break then. They're hard at work on suppressing and subverting the Democratic vote for 2024, at least on CNN and MSNBC. Fox and OAN are busy keeping the fires blazing under those viewers' asses.

a Sunday morning show or shows, like Meet the Press, for their source of national news. Don't watch now, but then Trump was featured every Sunday, Hillary relatively seldom booked. MTP reminds me of this:

"Are we really going to be here for six straight months, six straight months of the two most unpopular people running for president, probably going down a low road, led by Trump — Clinton probably feeling, doing the same thing, and it’s sort of this race to the bottom?"

Chuck Todd, 2016, false-equating the Democratic candidate and party, with tRump and the Republicans. Hillary was actually polling very strong, and way out ahead -- huge problem.

the news (always hopeful). No, there they are again, teeth clicking, mouth open, words spitting out. Guess what? Not a minute worth listening to.

I was especially amused by the questions from the gaggle at the press conferences. Like listening to high school kids from the school paper. Loved the one about Major.

There are so many armchair hawks that make posts with a diarrhea of words saying what President Biden should do.

I can’t imagine the weight on Biden’s shoulders. I do trust his judgement, though.

It implies that President Obama knew that we should withdraw, that it was the right thing to do, but that he didn't want to face the backlash that President Biden is facing and thus let the war drag on, costing soldiers' lives and a waste of money.

1. We will find, if we don't already know, that we should not have gone into Afghanistan. We certainly should not have stayed 20 years.
2. That we did stay 20 years and did not focus on creating a situation in Afghanistan where the government had to competence and confidence to ask us to leave, is another huge problem that we have to grapple with. This includes every President that was in office from 2001 to Trump. Biden just got stuck with the mess of pulling out.

on trump. Instead, people fell off a plane, several thousand prisoners escaped during chaos, 13 of our guys were killed, we angered Britain, Germany, France, etc., and it’s not over. The conflicting statements and pointing of fingers after the plane incident — among WH, military, intelligence, etc. — was embarrassing.

He should have listened to Hillary Clinton too.

When the media characterized Obama's tan suit or handful of golf outings as what they felt amounted to unforced errors, then anything beyond that would be a virtual death sentence. It was bad enough how the media handled the reporting of the ACA legislative sausage-making and their general ho-hum dismissal of Obama actually getting Bin Laden, after they gave Shrub a pass for 8 years..

would not know what real leadership actually looks like even if it came to their doors and showed ID.

There are exceptions, of course. Several at MSNBC, Jim Acosta at CNN, probably others. But none of us has seen much for the last forty years ... and, when there was some to see, the vast majority were not looking.

IMO, tv can only give one snapshots of what's going on. For depth, one must go to numerous sources, considered to be reliable, on the internet.
