Who radicalized Ashli Babbitt?

From Wikipedia:

Radicalization (or radicalisation) is the process by which an individual or group comes to adopt increasingly radical views in opposition to a political, social, or religious status quo. The ideas of society at large shape the outcomes of radicalization; for example, radical movements can originate from a broad social consensus against progressive changes in society or from a broad desire for change in society. Radicalization can result in both violent and nonviolent action - most academic literature focuses on radicalization into violent extremism (RVE).[1][2] Multiple separate pathways can promote the process of radicalization, which can be independent but are usually mutually reinforcing.[3][4]

I saw the video she released of her driving down the road screaming at a video camera. She didn't get the way she is just from watching a few Trump speeches. Nay, her radicalization was deep and long-lived. Do you think it was her time in the Air Force, or from her upbringing?

Every white person, especially ex-vets have totally agency. No one can make us believe what we are not pre-determine or at least ready to believe.

I’m an Ex-Republican. As many on DU are. Grew up Southern Baptist but believe it or not it was a different church back in the 70’’s. Non political.

As the church became more political I became more uncomfortable. Eventually became a freethinker. Same with politics. As the Republican Party became more religious based it repelled me. Now I’m am a freethinking social democrat. A liberal member of the Democratic Party. International travel helped a lot as well.

That woman was not even religious. She was in a threesome relationship which is cool by me, but not my thing.

She responded to hate. Only hateful people respond to hate. Her death is on her. No scapegoat required.

... A heavy dose of Christian propaganda in the Air Force,... and a heavy dose of Rush Limbaugh fascist propaganda - unleashed extremist radical right wing Nazi Brown t-shirts once they completed their military hitch and returned back to the streets of AmeriKKKa.

That against all odds risked dying against the British 240 years ago mentally ill? They had little chance of winning and were already were among the freest people on earth. Were my ancestors 160 years ago who fought for slavery mentally ill? Was Timothy McVeigh? Or all the repressive dictators of the world?

Humans can be shitty people who do not value the lives of others.

Had the insurrection worked that day and trump was our dictator they would be public hero’s and that’s a fact.

She was a shitty person who chose poorly and ran up against a real hero.

As someone who has family that is truly mentally ill you post is an insult.

We have sat back and let hate radio send it dark propaganda messages to the people for 30 years. She is a product of our failure. For far too long we have blown off the propaganda as being directed at some tiny fringe. That may have been true in the 90s, but hate sells and now we have 30% of the country foaming at the mouth and looking for blood in the streets.

I guess she thought that people were just going to stand back while they took over the Capitol and hung Nancy Pelosi. She wanted to be the first storm trooper in, she paid the price. The far right needs to understand that their actions my have negative consequences; it is the only thing that they will understand.

She got what she asked for; good riddance.
